kortni got her first job

kortni just got a job volunteering at the library...she starts on saturday and will work from 12 to 3 every saturday...so there is no money involved but a great opportunity

i have the best girls ever

i'm back and posting...hehehe...well i went to parent teacher conferences and was very pleased...kortni had all a's and 1 b....but her teacher said she missed having an a by like 1 or 2 percent...and it was because she is so quiet(it was in drama)...every one of her teachers told me she was such a great student and a great example to the other students...some of them even said they would like to clone her so they could have the perfect class...so that is my first born and how wonderful is that???kam's teacher said the same thing about cloning her...she also had straight a's, got an award for being student of the quarter, and also got an award for having a 4.0....her teacher also said that she is the only student that gets to sit by her friend because she is so good...all of the other friends had to be split up...kam also gets to do extra things for her teacher because she loves her sooo much....since her school is so stupid, they decided that the 4th grade teachers don't need any help in the classrooms....her teacher was not very happy about that she said she loved having the help last year...but she did invite me to go on field trips with them when they go(she was only inviting the parents that she liked)....maybe i am a little weird but it was kind of sad to think that i was done volunteering since she is my baby...here is an example of the stupidity....for halloween only the kindergarten through 3rd grade was allowed to dress up...the 4th through 8th grade could not...the high school could...well i take her to school and all of the teachers were dressed up...how fair is that????the adults can dress up but my 9 year old cannot???they are sooooooooooooooooooo retarded!!!!!!!!!!

on saturday jon was paying kam her allowance and i heard her say "thanks, it's a pleasure doing business with you" she is soooo funny...

kambree again

so last night kam said another funny...when Jon is home he is supposed to tuck her in at night...so last night he walked away and did not do it so she starts calling him "Jon......Jon.....Jon" so when he comes in he tries to be funny and just throws her blanket on her and she yells "you're fired!!!!" and of course jon is like "ok thanks" and then she points up above her bed and says "always kiss me goodnight, remember" this is the decorations above her bed

well i'm sitting here trying to remember all of the things i wanted to blog about and after i publish i remember more...this is probably the last one for tonight though..when kam says the dinner prayer she always says "please bless the hands that blessed it" i try to tell her that it is bless the hands that prepared it but when she gets something on her mind there is no convincing her otherwise

ok...along with the other post i just made this made me laugh also....kam was having a sleepover with her friend and after they went to bed and i went to turn off the lights this is what i found....a miniature animal hospital made out of a box of tissues and some tape...she is so creative and resourceful.....hahahaha

now look close at these next pics...they were super funny....they had little turbins on their heads and not only do they get blankets but they also get pillowsthen last.....she is such a crazy sleeper i feel bad for her friends that have to sleep in the same bed with her

i guess i am not alone anymore

kam is very funny about her things and to her what she plays with at the time is real...like when she plays with dolls they are not dolls they are real babies and likewise for her stuffed animals...so the other day when i get downstairs this is what i see

the purple hippo is "sweetheart" and she informed me that she did not like to be left alone upstairs all day and could i please watch her....she should be good for me because she gave her her favorite toy teddy bear, some keys to play with and her bottle....the bottom pic is her clothes that i needed to dress her in for the day...i love her imagination!!!!!!!she is so great and i always have stories to share....thanks kam(of course if she read this i would be in trouble because this is real to her not a funny story to share)oh well

our dumb schools

so kambree came home from school with her hand all wrapped up and told me she fell down and could not do gymnastics....well since i am so sympathetic i was like..............whatever you big wussy....because i am sure you are thinking the same thing i am that when you fall down and scuff up your hand it really is not that big of a deal....well she goes to the nurse who puts a band aid on it and of course it falls off because how often do bandaids stay on the palm of your sweaty hand....so then she wraps it all up...well kam said she fell down at 7:45 am and she did not get home till 3 pm so when she unwrapped it it was pretty gross...and since our school has such bright people that work there they didn't even clean it out and on top of that they put gauze under the wrapping with nothing else....so needless to say when she got home hours later and unwrapped it the gauze was all inter twined to the skin and we had to pull it all out which of coarse there were many tears and screaming...also the skin that had come up when she fell was stuck back down to her hand and filled with dirt....i LOVE that school!!!!!!!!j/k i really hate them they are always doing dumb things like this......so this really is kind of gross so if you don't want to look DON'T SCROLL DOWN....these looked way grosser in real life.....i guess this is what we get for having no grass......sucky......the bottom pic has neosporon on her hand so it looks bigger but it is the same thing......sorry if this is too graphic but like i said this has become my journal and i am putting down everything....i figure people do not have to read these if they do not want to...and i will put a warning on like above so you are not shocked......i also just remembered another cute thing kam said...she called her privates her pirates

boring

well....you may want to skip this but i have been thinking alot about this blogging thing and i really like it....the thing is......it seems like every sunday there is a mention about keeping a journal....well....i suck at it!!!so this blogging is now becoming my journal.....now every sunday i come home and think to myself....that is a grand idea but i just don't ever seem to have the time....i even think to myself that even if i could do it just once a week i would be doing good but i just can't seem to do it....i started to read about every one and i loved it....then the few posts i made and recieved comments on i loved also....it got to the point that i was getting on at least 3 times per week to check out what everyone was doing and to see if i had recieved any comments.....funny little side note....when i get comments it is like christmas i get so excited....but anyways i decided to blog about all of the random things i keep thinking that i should be journaling about....part of it was also that Kortni's seminary teacher wanted to know some funny things she did when she was little and Jon and I could not come up with anything....sad isn't it???????????but in our defense she was a really laid back kid that did her own thing....so we think and think and think and only came up with 2 that were probably not seminary appropriate so i could not share..............sooooo i will share on the blog..........when she had just learned how to talk we were up the mountains and she was standing in the front seat of the truck with her uncle Eric....and out of no where yells "where the HELL do you think you are going?" the other one was we went somewhere with one of jons very very very churchy friends (i was pregnant at the time) and she told this friend that she had a baby in her tummy too....well he says, "how did that happen" and she says "my daddy put it there" now she was only 4 so she had no idea how bad that sounded but his friend told him that he better hope she was not sharing that story with anyone else cause he may end up in trouble since we live in a sick and twisted world........then on to Kam...........we have story after story about that girl......right after we moved here she did a dance at the school and jon did not get there in time and he missed it.....well as soon as she walks in the door she walks over to the bottom of the stairs and yells up to jon "hey weeeeeeener!!!!! you MISSED my dance" so the rest of the night when jon talked to her she would say "ok weener" or "sure weener" everything she said she added weener to the end.....and then to top it all off jon didn't even notice......i asked him about it and he had no idea what i was talking about...............well that is all i can think of for now so sorry about the length...but i figure if it is toooo long you don't have to read it you can skip over it

pool party

kortni's sunday school teacher had a pool party at his house and sent out this paper. the rules made me laugh. so i thought i would share. also when i dropped her off they had these 2 HUGE wolf spiders...this guy is hilarious...he is great with the kids..enlarge the spider to see just how big he is..that is as close as i could get with the camera

mom is incorrect

My mom left out part of that story. So after that, I asked what the secretary does, and she said that they did paperwork. Then I said that she was going to fail at that job more than she did at being the second counselor. Then she said, no I'm not, because your going to do it for me. That was my favorite part of the story.

talent show

kambree did gymnastics for the ward talent show so here is a little video of it...she was kind of a little wiener and wouldn't do anything too hard without her coach but i did convince her to add a back walkover in with a bribe of 5 bucks...i really wanted her to do her back handspring but she refused to do it...she informed me she would do it for 50 bucks...but anyways she did make up the routine all by herself..so here you go...it is short and sweet...i love to watch her do her gymnastics...and just as a side note i had a little kid trying grab my camera so the video is not the greatest

so i do not have much but i thought this was funny........i was just released from second counselor in the young womens and put into the secretary in the young womens..so during sacrament meeting kort leans over and says "is secretary under the counselor?" i said yes and she says "why did they release you, did you suck?" nothing like a child to be so uplifting...but i will say i asked to be moved to secretary because then i do not have to teach..the kids are so disrespectful it is not even funny...here is an example...i was teaching a couple of weeks ago and one of the girls got up in the middle of my lesson and starting to run her fingers up and down the piano...now i don't know about you guys but when i was that age i don't care how bored i was i would have never even imagined doing that...KIDS THESE DAYS...mine would die if they even tried!!!!!!!!!!!!also kort was kidding...or she would be dead j/k

so i was going through my pics and found some funnies to share......here ya go

isn't this a cute little flower pot????????????????Kam had to do a report on George Washington and then dress as the character......she was very angry about it and then to top it all off she was supposed to stay in the costume all day to get full credit......well she decided it was worth losing the points and took it off when she got to school....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we are not creative so we ended up buying the dumb costume which cost us about $75.00.................nice waste of money wasn't it???

and for halloween last year i was quite proud of the costumes that i peiced together check these out..........kortni was sanjaya malakar from american idol and kam was nacho libre.....look real close...nacho even has armpit hair.......................hahahahahahahahaha....well i thought that they turned out really cute.

butterflies

so my girls found this cocoon(i do not know how to spell that sorry) on the outside of the house and watched it till it turned into a butterfly. When they went out for school one morning the butterfly was mostly out but its feet were still in the cocoon. How cool is that!!!!
